Fragile geologic features – Prof. Ramón Arrowsmith
“At CGT, Knowledge Comes Full Circle”
The next guest speaker: Prof. Ramón Arrowsmith – Arizona State University
On Thursday, July 9th at 11.00 PM a new event in the lecture series “At CGT, Knowledge Comes Full Circle” will take place, designed to explore the many forms of knowledge.
The CGT is pleased to welcome Prof. Ramón Arrowsmith, Professor of Geology at the School of Earth and Space Exploration, Arizona State University, who will deliver a seminar in English titled:
“Fragile geologic features: machine learning, robotic mapping, and particle dynamics for earthquake processes and hazards”
Interactions between tectonic and surface processes in the recording of earthquakes: new challenges for understanding landscapes and assessing seismic hazard. Robotics and machine learning for the automated three-dimensional analysis of fragile geological structures and faults.
The event is open to all interested participants.
Admission is free.
