Start of the University of Siena Second-Level Master of Science in Geomatics – A.Y. 2025/2026
The activities of the Second-Level Master in Geomatics at the University of Siena officially started on 8 January 2026 at the Center for Geotechnologies (CGT) in San Giovanni Valdarno. With the beginning of classes, the new academic year dedicated to advanced training in the field of geomatics is now underway.
For many years, this Master has been a national benchmark, offering an advanced program focused on the acquisition, analysis, and management of geospatial data using state-of-the-art tools and methodologies, including photogrammetry, remote sensing, GIS, geodesy, positioning systems, and 3D modeling. The teaching activities integrate lectures, hands-on laboratory sessions, and fieldwork, taking full advantage of the equipment and scientific expertise available at the Center for Geotechnologies.
The program aims to train highly qualified professionals capable of working in strategic sectors such as territorial planning, emergency management, engineering, environmental monitoring, and the enhancement of cultural heritage.
The start of the classes marks the beginning of an intensive and opportunity-rich path for the new cohort of students and professionals who have chosen to invest in Geomatics as a field of scientific and professional growth.
