Call for student tutors for bachelor’s degree programmes: one 150-hour assignment for TACT orientation and tutoring services

The University of Siena has published a call for 150-hour student tutoring assignments. One position is allocated to the degree programme in Technologies for the Environment, Constructions and Territory (TACT).

The University of Siena has published a call for student tutoring assignments for bachelor’s degree programmes for the 2026/2027 academic year.

The call includes the professionally oriented degree programme in Technologies for the Environment, Constructions and Territory – TACT, offered by the Department of Physical Sciences, Earth and Environment and based at the Center of GeoTechnologies in San Giovanni Valdarno (Italy). One 150-hour tutoring assignment is available for the programme. The activities will be carried out between 1 January and 31 December 2027.

Tutor activities

The selected student will support the programme’s orientation and tutoring activities. In particular, the tutor will help welcome first-year students, provide information through individual meetings, telephone calls or email, and take part in initiatives agreed with the relevant University offices and academic staff.

Activities will be carried out mainly in person.

Applications and selection procedure

Applications are open to students who are regularly enrolled at the Università di Siena in the 2025/2026 academic year and are attending a bachelor’s degree programme, from the first year up to the first year beyond the standard programme duration, provided that they meet the requirements specified in the call. Specific Italian- and English-language requirements also apply to applicants who are not native speakers.

Applications may be submitted from 12 noon on 20 July to 12 noon on 18 September 2026, exclusively through the reserved area of the University of Siena “Segreteria online” platform. Applicants must follow the path “Segreteria – 150 ore/tutorato” and select Call no. 119/2025.

At the end of the procedure, applicants must generate and retain the “stampa ricevuta definitiva”, the final application receipt required to complete the submission correctly.

The selection procedure will consider applicants’ academic merit and skills, which will also be assessed through a compulsory interview.

For the Department of Physical Sciences, Earth and Environment, the interview will be held online on 27 October 2026 at 5 p.m., following the procedures specified in the call

Financial compensation

The compensation is € 10 for each hour worked, before the deduction of the social security contributions payable by the recipient.

At the end of the assignment, the tutor will also receive an Open Badge. Students who complete all the compulsory training activities may apply for the recognition of 1 CFU (ECTS credit), subject to approval by the relevant academic body.
