The enrolment call for the First- and Second-Level University Master’s Programmes in Geomatics at the University of Siena for the 2026/2027 academic year has been published.
The programmes are delivered at the Centre for GeoTechnologies in San Giovanni Valdarno.
Enrolment will be open from 10 July to 15 December 2026. Teaching activities will begin in January 2027 and, together with the internship and final examination, will be completed by January 2028.
New features for the 2026/2027 edition
The 2026/2027 edition introduces new content focusing on artificial intelligence, machine learning applied to geospatial data, and immersive technologies for three-dimensional visualisation.
Practice-oriented training closely connected to the world of work
Teaching is delivered in a blended format, with lectures and practical sessions held partly in person at the Centre for GeoTechnologies and partly online through live sessions with the lecturers.
The programmes combine theoretical knowledge, practical activities, the use of specialist software, case-study analysis and project development. Following the taught modules, students are required to complete a curricular internship of at least 300 hours at companies, professional practices, public authorities, research institutes, universities or other organisations, including institutions located abroad.
The internship enables students to apply the skills acquired during the programme and gain direct experience of the activities and challenges encountered in the different professional fields of Geomatics.

Enrolment must be completed exclusively online through the University of Siena’s Online Student Services portal (Segreteria online). Applicants must select “Segreteria” from the main menu, then choose “Immatricolazione” and complete the procedure by the stated deadline.
