Dark Matter: A Cosmic Enigma – Prof. Nicola Turini

“At CGT, Knowledge Comes Full Circle”

The next guest speaker: Prof. Nicola Turini

On Thursday, November 6 at 6:30 PM, in the Aula Magna of the Centro di GeoTecnologie, University of Siena (Via Vetri Vecchi 34, San Giovanni Valdarno), a new event in the lecture series “At CGT, Knowledge Comes Full Circle” will take place — a series designed to explore the many forms of knowledge and share them with the wider public.

The guest speaker for the evening will be Prof. Nicola Turini, Associate Professor in the Experimental Area of Physical Sciences, specializing in fundamental interactions and their applications, who will give a lecture titled:

“Dark Matter: A Cosmic Enigma”

Prof. Turini will take the audience on a fascinating journey through the Universe, explaining how Dark Matter is five times more abundant than the matter that makes up ourselves and the stars — and yet its origin remains shrouded in mystery.

The event is open to the public and will conclude with a friendly aperitif.
Admission is free, subject to availability.

The lecture is organized under the patronage of the Municipality of San Giovanni Valdarno, in collaboration with the Fondazione Masaccio.
