Open Day 2026: discover the TACT Bachelor’s Degree Programme

On February 24–25, 2026, the Università di Siena opens its doors to prospective students with two days dedicated to university orientation. Among the featured programmes will be the Bachelor’s Degree in Technologies for the Environment, Construction and Territory (TACT), designed for students who wish to combine scientific, digital and technical skills for the management of land, buildings and infrastructure.

The TACT programme trains professionals able to work in digital surveying, 3D modelling, territorial data management and environmental assessment — fields that are increasingly in demand in both industry and design sectors.

During the Open Day, visitors will be able to attend the programme presentation within the Physics, Engineering and Mathematics area and meet lecturers and tutors at the permanent information desk.

Alongside the presentations, starting at 9:00 AM, two interactive activities (30 minutes each) will allow participants to directly experience the technologies used in the programme:

  • Seeing the invisible: the territory in augmented reality – immersive digital exploration of space
  • 3D modelling with SLAM laser scanning – real-time acquisition and reconstruction of real environments

These activities will allow participants to observe how territorial and architectural data are acquired, analysed and represented using advanced technologies currently employed in professional practice.
